, the Pralaya system founder, has instructed yoga classes and seminars internationally for over forty years. He is a physicist, who is known for his detailed understanding of the anatomy of poses, and both the energetic and therapeutic reasoning for alignments. His background is primarily in Ashtanga, Iyengar, Forrest and Sivananda yoga.
Robert has extensively studied many esoteric forms of yoga, tai chi chuan, qigong, and a variety of self care and therapeutic modalities, which lead to his extensive understanding of therapeutics and self care. This is the base from which he has trained yoga instructors since the early 1970’s. His philosophic perspective is Advaita Vedanta based on physics, detailed observation, and understanding perception and language, as expressed by Dr. Vijay Shankar.
He has trained with many prominent yogis and swamis, including BKS Iyengar, numerous senior Iyengar teachers, Ana Forrest, Dr. Vasant Lad, David Swenson, Doug Swenson, Swami Muktananda, Swami Ranganathananda, Vethathiri Yogiraj Maharishi, and Swami Satchitananda, and now the compassionate path of Buddhism. Robert has also studied Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong with various world-renowned masters.
